6 months to 2 years -- 2mL - 2.5mL once daily

2 years to 6 years -- 5mL once daily

one spray in each nostril daily

Children's Benadryl Dosage for 12 months and up

  • 15 to 24lbs -- 2.5mL every 4-6 hours as needed
  • 24 to 35lbs -- 4-5mL every 4-6 hours as needed

Common Side effects of vaccines

  • Pain, swelling, redness, itching, or burning at the injection site
  • Mild fever
  • Chills
  • Feeling tired
  • Headache
  • Muscle and joint aches
  • Fussiness in children
  • A small, hard lump at the injection site that persists for weeks or months

How to treat side effects of vaccines

  • Tylenol (Acetaminophen) Dosage chart listed above
  • Use a cool compress: Apply an ice pack or cool, damp cloth to the injection site to reduce swelling, redness, and soreness.
  •  Drink plenty of fluids

We provide safety, education, and hope to victims of domestic violence in our community. Our crisis services programs are designed to help break the cycle of violence and provide victims with the empowerment they need to be self-sufficient. All programs are offered free of charge. Our wrap around services means victims have access to advocacy, support, and much more whether they reside at our shelter or not.

We partner with other community agencies to provide wraparound services (for people who are sheltered or not) to victims of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, stalking, elder abuse, and human trafficking. We are a Family Justice Center, which means that we collaborate with our partner organizations, many of whom have offices in our building, to fulfill our mission. Services are free and include legal services, educational services, and counseling services.

The Thelma Gaylord Emergency Shelter is the only certified shelter for women and children in Oklahoma County.


  • OKCity Crisis Nursery – 405-979-0706

We offer emergency care for children in times of crisis. There are never any fees for families to utilize the Nursery. We understand not everyone has a village around to utilize when emergencies arise. Open 24-hrs, 7 days a week. In addition to caring for children, we also equip families with necessities during emergency situations such as clothing, diapers, formula, car seats, or any other necessities.
